McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Jimmy Wendell Adcock, age 66, was born August 8, 1940 and died December 31, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired truck driver and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late George Wesley and Minnie Hazel Barnes Adcock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie Darrell and Steve Lynn Adcock and brother, Raymond Adcock. He was married June 1, 1957 to Hattie Ruth Bandy Adcock of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Michael and Peggy Lynn Adcock and Richard Wendell and Sherry Adcock both of McMinnville; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura Eileen Harding of Dearborn, MI, Velma and Hollis Maggart and Edna Frances and Frank Judkins both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, James Bandy of Smithville, TN and sister-in-law, Georgia Adcock of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in High's Chapel with Johnny Lance officiating. Burial followed in the Blues Hill Cemetery.
