McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ernest Paul Bailey, age 58, was born May 20, 1948 and died October 24, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a self-employed water well driller and the son of Daisy High Mears Bailey of McMinnville and the late Ernest T. Bailey. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Edward Bailey; nephew Thomas Eugene Zahn; grandparents, Tom and Tiny Bailey, Thomas Jefferson Mears, Allie Mae Moore Mears and Ollie Paulette Mears and uncles, Carmon and James Clifford Mears. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Brandy Bailey and Jeff and Shannon Bailey both of McMinnville; step-daughter, Nichola Campbell of Woodbury, TN; eight grandchildren, Leon, Samantha, Hunter, Savanah, Stella, Kalie, Kalan, and Kenzie; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Paul Zahn, Reba and Steve Albright and Jereal and Mark Hutchins all of McMinnville and Jean and Roger Black of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Jason Zahn; companion, Debbie Campbell of Woodbury, TN and best friends, Cathy Bailey and Tina Pendagraph both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Centertown Cemetery.
