Magdalene BENNETT

Rock Island, TN resident and White County, TN native Magdalene Bennett, age 77, was born October 4, 1928 and died August 17, 2006 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, she was the daughter of the late James and Minnie Luna Roberts.  She is survived by five children and their spouses, Roy and Sandra Bennett of Michie, TN, Allene and Charles Glenn of Rock Island, TN, Judy and Bobby Wallace of Sparta, TN, Shirley and Michael Dodd of Liberty, TN and Bill and Ann Bennett of McMinnville;  eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren;  former husband, U.G. Bennett of Lewisburg, TN; sister, Molly Norris of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2006 in High's Chapel with Vernon Caruthers officiating.  Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery.
