Geneva BOYD

Clarksville, TN resident and former McMinnville resident Geneva Boyd, age 75, was born October 27, 1930 in Buffalo Valley, TN and died September 12, 2006 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN following a sudden illness.  A housewife and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Ella B. White Sullins.  She was married March 18, 1946 to Alfred Boyd of Clarksville, TN.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Roger O. and Charlotte Boyd of Brenham, Texas, Patricia Louise Hoover of St. Claire Shores, Michigan, and Annette and Randy Emerson of Clarksville, TN;  six grandchildren, Sheryl VanBuren, Scott Boyd, Jason Hoover, Steven Boyd, Ryan Emerson, and Jessica Emerson;  four great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Logan, Madyson, and Brennen VanBuren;  two brothers, Bobby Sullins of Buffalo Valley, TN and Aaron Sullins of Lebanon, TN and several nieces and nephews.  A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 in High's Parlors.  Entombment followed in the Dekalb Memorial Gardens in Smithville, TN.
