Lillie Marie Williams BOYD

Rocky River Community resident and Marion County, TN native Lillie Marie Williams Boyd, age 90, was born July 20, 1916 and died August 29, 2006 at River Park Hospital following an eight day illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Lemma Henry Williams.  She was married to Roscoe Boyd who preceded her in death October 16, 1975.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, David Powers and Lisa Ware;  two brothers, Herbert and Jess Williams;  three half-brothers, Harold, J.W. and Charles Williams and half-sister, Pauline Harris.  She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sarah Boyd and Kennith and Patricia Boyd both of Chattanooga, TN;  four daughters and sons-in-law, Lemma and Lloyd Grissom of Tullahoma, TN and Carolyn and Jim Powers, Arlene and Leon Ware, and Joyce Boyd all of Rock Island, TN;  eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren;  brother, Estell Williams of Murfreesboro, TN and two half-sisters, Christine Gilliam and Billie Lockhart both of Manchester, TN.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006 in High's Chapel with Vernon Joines and Billy Reed officiating.  Burial followed in the White Hill Cemetery in the Rocky River Community.
