Dola Virginia BREWER

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Dola Virginia Brewer, age 86, was born December 31, 1919 and died May 26, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late John Edward and Amy McReynolds Scruggs.  She was married to Thomas Atlas Brewer who preceded her in death November 29, 1979.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Michael Brewer and Dixie Sharon Brewer.  She is survived by two daughters, Dean Brewer of McMinnville and Judy Carol Brewer of Waverly, TN;  grandson and his wife, Flavil and Jennifer Brewer of McMinnville;  granddaughter, Emma Rachael Ruth Beechum of Tullahoma, TN;  daughter-in-law, Annette Brewer of Tullahoma, TN;  brother, Truman Earl Scruggs of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2006 in High's Chapel with Ralph Hoover and Jim Hunt officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
