Marjorie Lois Griffith BYARS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Marjorie Lois Griffith Byars, age 91, was born July 20, 1914 and died January 9, 2006 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Peyton Monroe and Josephine Bryant Griffith.  She was married to Perry G. Byars who preceded her in death March 5, 2000.  In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Pasquinzo in 1968;  sister, Geneva Foster, and four brothers, Chester, Hobert, Thurman, and Lloyd Griffith.  She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Merrile Byars of Woodbury, TN and Jack and Edna Byars of LaFayette, GA;  eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and sister, Frances Holcomb of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in High's Chapel with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
