Nancy Mae CAMPBELL

Altamont, TN resident and Lewis County, TN native Nancy Mae Campell, age 87, was born August 24, 1918 and died June 14, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Katherine Osgood Cotham.  She was married to Thomas Leslie Campbell who preceded her in death.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Douglas Campbell.  She is survived by four sons, Thomas L. and Danny L. Campbell both of Chicago, IL, Tony L. Campbell of Grundy County, TN and William L. Campbell of Alabama;  four daughters, Helen G. Mathis of Altamont, TN, Linda F. Johnson of Rock Island, TN and Melba L. Steiner and Rhonda L. Choate both of North Carolina;  seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Lou Morton of Hohenwald, TN.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2006 in High's Chapel with James Hampton officiating.  Burial followed in the Campbell Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
