Iva Mae CHANDLER

Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Iva Mae Chandler, age 93, was born September 28, 1912 and died March 3, 2006 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.  A retired dietician at Lake County East Hospital in Painesville, Ohio and the daughter of the late Martin and Maggie Templeton McCoy, she attended the First Assembly of God.  She was married to Andrew Chandler who preceded her in death October 22, 1994.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and George McCoy and four sisters, Ova Slatton, Evie Slatton, Dovie Banker and Vernon White.  She is survived by four children and their spouses, Louise Maddle of Rock Island, TN, William and Cindy Chandler of Rock Island, Robert and Paulette Chandler of Mentor, Ohio, and Irene Dare of Kirtland, Ohio;  twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Gary and Sue Maddle, Alan and Jenny Chandler, Wanda Maddle, Diane and Tony Ruthosky, LuAnn and Dwight Bottoms, Lynn Gregory, Michelle Chandler, Julie and Damon Sellers, Robert and Danielle Chandler, Bethany, Alyson, and Lindsay Dare;  seven great-grandchildren;  sister, Silverree Cantrell of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2006 in High's Chapel with Sammie Lee officiating.  Burial followed in the McElroy Cemetery in Van Buren, Co.
