JR., Lawrence COPE

Chicago, Illinois resident and Warren County, TN native Lawrence Cope, Jr., age 82, was born March 17, 1924 and died November 23, 2006 at his residence in Chicago.  A retired shipping and receiving supervisor with Montgomery Ward and a member of the Catholic Church, he was the son of the late Lawrence  and Marandie Cummings Cope, Sr.  He was married to Mary Catherine Ramsey who preceded him in death June 4, 1999.  He is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Mary C. Gonzales, Elizabeth A. Cope and Connie and Norman Houseworth;  two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Deidra Cope and Garry and Angela Cope and two granddaughters, Mariah and Megan all of Chicago, Illinois.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.  Funeral service was held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2006 in High's Chapel with Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating.  Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.
