Sallie Alda Rogers COX

Daleville, Indiana resident Sallie Alda Rogers Cox, age 95, was born February 18, 1911 and died May 6, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.  A homemaker and a member of the Daleville Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charlie D. and Nancy Scott Rogers.  She was married to Edison O. Cox who preceded her in death in 1972.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sons and four grandsons.  She is survived by six daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita Young of Daleville, IN, Eddie Jo Nunley of McMinnville, Goldie and Earl Manis and Peggy and Lewis Troxell all of Muncie, IN, Sharon and William Davis of Sparta, TN and Deborah and Steve Taylor of LaVergne, TN;  six sons and daughters-in-law, Everett and Jane Cox of Daleville, IN, Charles and Oneas Cox of Birmingham, AL, Jimmy Cox and Douglas Cox all of Muncie, IN, Edison and Glenda Cox, Jr. of Sparta, TN, and Carl and JoAnn Cox of McMinnville;  thirty-three grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren, fifteen great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2006 in High's Chapel with Lane Dix officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
