Carolyn Jean DIXON

McMinnville resident and Anderson County, TN native Carolyn Jean Dixon, age 59, was born April 5, 1947 and died April 7, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.  A former employee of Aquatech and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Annie Sue Byrd Evens Drinnon of Knoxville, TN and the late William Oscar Evens.  She was married to James Dixon who preceded her in death December 13, 2001.  In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Darrell and Michael Scott Reece;  grandmother, Bessie Evens and brother, William Ronnie Evens.  She is survived by four daughters, Angela Trobaugh of Celina, TN, Tonia Pierce of Belgium, Crystal Reece of Lebanon, TN and Tracie Rodgers of North Carolina;  son James Reece of North Carolina; six grandchildren;  brother, William Oscar Evens of Cleveland, TN;  step-children, Harold Dixon of McMinnville, Thomas Dixon  and Martin Dale Dixon both of Tullahoma, TN, Barbara Joe Buchinsky of Garden City, MI, and Patricia Dixon of Winchester, TN.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in High's Chapel with Barry Whiteaker officiating.  Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
