Murfreesboro resident and Cincinnati, Ohio native Nellie Baker Forth, age 76, was born November 26, 1929 and died February 3, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness. A purchasing clerk for Powermatic and a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, she was a den leader with the Cub Scouts of Nashville and McMinnville for many years, named Mother of the Year in 1981 by the Southern Standard and was formerly associated with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was married to Robert Dalton Charles Forth who preceded her in death in 1968. She was preceded in death by her mother Clara Reitzel and step-father, Charles "Chuck" Reitzel. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert D. and Donna Forth, II of McMinnville, Doug and Roxanne Forth of Murfreesboro, Ed Forth of Chattanooga, TN, and David and Kim Forth of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Webb Cemetery with Father Barry Griffin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the or the .
