Mildred Lucille GAMBRELL

McMinnville resident and Grand Rapids, Michigan native Mildred Lucille Gambrell, age 80, was born June 10, 1925 and died March 10, 2006 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.  A secretary with the Civil Defense for twenty-nine years, and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Huston and Lora Lurlean Stewart Boyd.  She was married to Floyd "Joe" Gambrell of McMinnville.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly Huston and Kathy Thaxton of Doyle, TN and T.G. and Sue Thaxton, II of Pulaski, TN;  four grandchildren, Mark Thaxton of Rock Island, TN, David Thaxton of Doyle, TN, Huston Thaxton of McMinnville and Lora Cox of Doyle, TN;  three great-grandchildren, Adrien Thaxton of Rock Island, TN, and Amber Taylor and Kaitlyn Thaxton both of McMinnville;  brother and sister-in-law, Huston and Florence Boyd of McMinnville.  A graveside service and interment was held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2006 at Gardens of Memory with Tony Lawrence officiating.
