Ann Elizabeth GARMON

McMinnville resident and Putnam County, TN native Ann Elizabeth Garmon, age 70, was born June 18, 1935 and died April 20, 2006 at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio following a one month illness.  The retired manager of the McMinnville Country Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Campbell Thomas.  She was married July 31, 1955 to Thomas M. Garmon who preceded her in death April 22, 1981.  She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Robert Newman and Brenda and Bill Locke both of McMinnville and Tommie and Dwayne Christian of Murfreesboro, TN;  eight grandchildren, Will and Catharine Newman of Birmingham, Alabama, Ben, Wes, and John Newman and Amanda and Thomas Locke all of McMinnville and Shelley and Nick Christian of Murfreesboro, TN;  sister-in-law, Diane Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada and special friend, Sara Fritter.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2006 in High's Chapel with Dr. Steve Angus and Rev. Bob Case officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
