SR., Thomas E. GREEN

McMinnville resident and Warren County, TN native Thomas E. Green, Sr., age 84, was born November 30, 1921 and died May 27, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A self-employed carpenter and painter and a member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Thomas D. and Hettie Barrett Green.  He was married first to Mary Jane Mullican Green who preceded him in death in 1988 and married second to Mazzel Jones Green of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, Mary Jane Mullican Green and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Green in 1986;  grandson, John Thomas Mullican in 1975;  two brothers, J.D. and Allen Green and three sisters, Lela Bell Rowland, Willie Cagle, and Beatrice Norrod.  In addition to his wife, Mazzel Jones Green, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruth Green of McMinnville, Nancy and J.T. Mullican of Nashville, TN and Jane and Mike Cripps of McMinnville;  five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 in High's Chapel with Charlie Pearson and Joe Gray officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
