Hassie Cleo GRIFFITH

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Hassie Cleo Griffith, age 95, was born October 10, 1910 and died September 19, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a brief illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Etter and Julie Stotts Dykes.  She was married to Foster William Griffith who preceded her in death July 30, 1960.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Willie Etta Dill;  grandsons, James Earl Holt, Jr. and Jerry Dill;  brothers, John and Willie Dykes and sisters, Jennie Teeters, Rena McBride, and Theona Dykes.  She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Bobby Thompson and Roberta "Fran" and James Holt both of Beersheba Springs, TN;  six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 in High's Chapel.  Burial followed in the Hunerwadel Cemetery in Beersheba Springs, TN.
