Floyd Mason GRISSOM

January 26, 1916 — November 16, 2006

Campaign community resident and Van Buren County, TN native Floyd Mason Grissom, age 90, was born January 26, 1916 and died November 16, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.  A retired, self-employed carpenter, a Warren County Commissioner for eighteen years and a member of the Campaign Church of Christ where he served as an elder, he was the son of the late John Alexander and Amanda Sophronia Martin Grissom.  He was married October 21, 1944 to Johnnie "Tooter" Deaton Grissom of the Campaign community.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Terry Grissom of the Campaign Community;  daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ted Grandey of McMinnville;  grandsons and their spouses, Teddy and Michelle Grandey and Phillip and Tara Grandey both of McMinnville;  granddaughter, Holly Grissom of Nashville, TN;  two great-grandsons;  one step-great-grandson and one step-great-granddaughter.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2006 in High's Chapel with Bobby Moore and William C. Moore officiating.  Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery.
