Thelma Lee Hodges HASTON

Spencer, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Thelma Lee Hodges Haston, age 82, was born July 31, 1924 and died December 1, 2006 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lela Banker Hodges.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Jackie, Freddie and Ronald Haston;  step-mother, Dovie Hodges;  three brothers, Fred Creed Hodges, D.C. McCormick and Glendull McCormick and sister, Ozale Adams.  She was married to Charles "Jack" Haston of Spencer, TN.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Nancy Haston of Cookeville, TN;  three daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Tommy Burkett of Hurricane Mills, TN, Ruth Haston of Somerset, KY, and Melissa and John Thomas Trobaugh of Cookeville, TN;  ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren;  five sisters, Christine Petit, Genell Mooneyham, Geneva Dodson and Wanda Bouldin all of Spencer, TN and Clata Hildreth of Dibrell, TN and three brothers, Charles, Dudley and J.L. Hodges all of Spencer, TN.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 in High's Chapel with Billy Reed officiating.  Burial followed in the Spencer Town Cemetery in Spencer, TN.
