Betty Jo Pennington HAYES

an class="obitbody">- McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Joe Pennington Hayes, age 71, was born October 5, 1934 and died February 18, 2006 at her residence.  A retired clerk for Stone Man and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jodel Fred and Flossie Meadows Pennington.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Donald Pennington, Frank Goglio, and Leonard Eugene Pennington.  She was married to Robert Earl Hayes of McMinnville on April 13, 1953.  In addition to her husband she is survived by her children and their spouses, Marilyn Denise "Puddin" and Wendell Mooneyham of Cookeville, TN, Donna Gale and Robert Lee Clark, II of San Juan, TX, and Robert E. "Rusty" Hayes, II of Morrison, TN;  grandchildren, Christopher Miles Wilson, Stephanie Wilson, Erin Best, and Heather (Alton) Hill;  great-grandchildren, Robert Blaine Wilson, Evan Kade Wilson, and Breeatta Love McClure and brother, John Douglas Pennington.  A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 in High's Chapel with Carl Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery in Morrison, TN at a later date.
