Lois Crawford HAYS

Red Boiling Springs, TN resident and Bowman, Georgia native Lois Crawford Hays, age 99, was born September 24, 1906 and died May 12, 2006 at Carthage General Hospital in Carthage, TN following an extended illness.  She was a former resident of Warren County, a homemaker, and the daughter of the late Claude Henry and Lilly Ictus Hall Strickland.  She was married to Thomas Dennis Hays who preceded her in death March 1, 1997.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Gayle Hays.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Barbara Hays of Mendota, VA;  daughter, Sandra Ryan of Alpharetta, GA; six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren;  three sisters, Juanita Jones and Eleanor Salisbury both of Athens, GA and Faye Tiegs of Orlando, FL and brother, Perry Strickland of Chicago, IL.  A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. EDT at the Macon Memorial Park in Macon, GA with Wayne Hays officiating.
