Hazel Ruth HENNESSEE

Rock Island, TN resident and Sequatchie County, TN native Hazel Ruth Dodson Hennessee, age 63, was born July 13, 1943 and died October 18, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness.  An employee of the Sunbeam-Oster Corporation and a member of the Cumberland Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, she was the daughter of George Dodson of Rock Island, TN and the late Vina Yates Dodson.  She was married to Cherful Hennessee who preceded her in death April 3, 2005.  In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Dodson.  In addition to her father, she is survived by one son, Terry Hennessee of Rock Island, TN;  grandson, Aaron Cody Hennessee of Rock Island, TN;  granddaughter, Amanda Faye Reed of Rock Island, TN;  three sisters, June "Vernon" Mears of the Rocky River Community, Thelma "Jerry" Boyd of Spencer, TN, and Phyllis Hayes of Tullahoma, TN;  brother, George "Cotton" Dodson of the Rocky River Community and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2006 in High's Chapel with Dennis Deweese officiating.  Burial followed in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.  Memorial contributions may be made to or the .
