Frank HERRIN

class="obitbody">- McMinnville resident and Dekalb County, TN native Frank Herrin, age 78, was born February 18, 1928 and died September 17, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A self-employed nurseryman and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Warren F. and Martha Bell Steele Herrin.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Charlie Herrin and sister Frances Cantrell.  He was married September 15, 1956 to Athelia Christian Herrin of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and David Hill of McMinnville, Darlene and Charles Arnold of Smithville, TN and Mary and Tony Wanamaker of McMinnville;  three sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis Herrin, Stephen Herrin, and Danny and Patricia Herrin all of McMinnville;  eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild;  six brothers, Jim Herrin of the Vervilla Community, Don Herrin of McMinnville, David Herrin of the Vervilla Community, Ned Herrin of the Short Mountain Community, Ben Herrin of Morrison, TN and Calvin Herrin of the Vervilla Community and three sisters, Armanda Burgess of McMinnville, Linda Farley of Morrison, TN and Clara Nell Slatton of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in High's Chapel with Glendon Cantrell officiating.  Burial followed in the Hills Creek Cemetery.
