Ruby Irene HOBBS

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Ruby Irene Hobbs, age 90, was born November 13, 1915 and died May 17, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Beecher and Fannie Harrison Nunley Woodlee.  She was married to Charles Maloney Hobbs who preceded her in death December 28, 2002.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Steven Edward Stone and Vicki Darlene Hobbs.  She is survived by one daughter, Alma McCormick of McMinnville;  three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl Hobbs, Milo and Tyffie Hobbs and Gary Hobbs all of McMinnville;  ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;  sister, Orpha Powell of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006 at Hebron Cemetery with Cordell Crawford officiating.
