Ruby W. HOLT

McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Ruby W. Holt, age 89, was born July 4, 1916 and died April 19, 2006 at River Park Hospital.  A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Doc Elzie and Ida Dunn Wanamaker.  She was married to Gentry Holt who preceded her in death in 1988.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dottie and Ezell Coppinger and five brothers, Foster, Malcolm, Woodrow, Nelson, and Marvin Wanamaker.  She is survived by one son, Donnie Wayne Holt of McMinnville;  two brothers, Farris Wanamaker and Rodman Wanamaker both of Grundy County, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 in High's Chapel with William Wanamaker officiating.  Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County.
