Eugene HUNTER

McMinnville resident and Cookeville, TN native Eugene Hunter, age 73, was born January 23, 1933 and died August 14, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.  A retired employee of Flower City Nursery and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Isaac Allen and Bessie Emery Hunter.  He was married to Edna Fay Masters Hunter who preceded him in death January 8, 2006.  He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Charlie and Suzanne Hunter;  three daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Jimmy Elrod, Frances and Rick Humphrey, and Amy and Jason Gillentine all of McMinnville;  thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;  three brothers, Bill Dean Hunter, Carl Hunter, and Jim Hunter all of Ohio and special brother-in-law, Bill Jones of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2006 in High's Chapel with George Roberts and Troy Jenkins officiating.  Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
