Lena Miller Parsley JONES

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Lena Miller Parsley Jones, age 81, was born December 26, 1925 and died December 27, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness.  A retired employee of A.O. Smith, she was the daughter of the late William Richard and Lillie Pearl Davenport Miller.  She was married first to John Willard Parsley who preceded her in death in 1969 and married second to Thomas E. Jones who preceded her in death in 1992.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Naoma Parsley of the Centertown Community;  daughter and her friend, Carolyn Glenn and Earl Hansen of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Shayne Reeder, T.J. Reeder, Brandon Parsley and Shelby Parsley;  two great-grandchildren, Shayla and Jaythen Reeder;  two brothers, James Miller of Summitville, TN and Jr. Miller of McMinnville;  four step-children, Tony and Gail Jones of Michigan, Wanda and Keith Stingley of Washington, Pat and Clarence Jones of Michigan and Ikie and Jenny Jones of Monroe, TN and several step-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Mears officiating.  Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
