Mildred Rebecca KILLIAN

Grundy County, TN resident and native Mildred Rebecca Killian, age 76, was born May 18, 1930 and died June 16, 2006 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a three-month illness.  She was the owner of Killian Nursery and Greenhouse and a member of Philadelphia The Baptist Church.  She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucinda Stoner Nunley.  She was married August 11, 1944 to R.T. Killian who preceded her in death May 7, 1979.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Scott and four brothers, Jessie, Wallace, Corbet, and J.T. Nunley.  She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Edna Killian and Rick Killian all of Grundy County, TN;  daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Dennis Duke of McMinnville;  five grandchildren, Kevin Killian, Becky Myers, Nicholas Killian, Darren Duke, and T.J. Duke;  great-grandson, Seth Killian;  sister, Emma Ruth Nunley of Georgia;  sister-in-law, Estell Roberts of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 in High's Chapel with Barry Whiteaker officiating.  Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
