McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joanna Panter King, age 76, was born May 25, 1929 and died February 23, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A former employee of Century Electric, she was the daughter of the late A.B. and Etta Clendenon Panter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Brooke King. She was married to Orval King of McMinnville on September 6, 1949. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon and Mickey Craddock of McMinnville and Lisa Craven of Florida; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Renaa King, Mark and Kathy King, and Darrell and Tina King all of McMinnville; special granddaughter and spouse, Katrina and Bucky Hobbs of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Carl Crawford of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Vanessa Panter of McMinnville and step-mother, Lena Mae Panter of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2006 in High's Chapel with Danny Sullivan and Scotty Lawson officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
