Callie Mae KIRBY

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Callie Mae Kirby, age 74, was born October 4, 1931 and died January 16, 2006 at DeKalb Hospital in Smithville, TN following a lingering illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Flora Cummings Smith.  She was married to Earnest Kirby who preceded her in death August 16, 1994.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Herbie and Lalar K. Davenport of Smithville, TN;  daughter and son-in-law, Donna S. and Randell E. Osment of Nashville, TN;  four grandsons, Randell E. Osment, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Cody Leon Davenport of Smithville, TN, Terry Hennessee of North Carolina, and Kendall Hennessee of the Rocky River Community;  granddaughters and their spouses, Raquel and Anthony Nall of Lebanon, TN, Danyell and Shawn Adcock of the Belk Community, Rachel Osment of Nashville, TN, and Annette Hennessee of Woodbury, TN;  step-daughter and spouse, Barbara and William "Pete" Simons of McMinnville;  step-son-in-law Kelly Hennessee of the Rocky River Community and eight great grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 in High's Chapel with Bro. Odell Powell officiating.  Burial followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Cannon Co., TN.
