Joseph C. LIEBL

Spencer, TN resident and New Ulm, MN native Joseph C. Liebl, age 66, was born November 8, 1939 and died January 22, 2006 at Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following a short illness.  A ship fitter at a Norfolk, VA United States Naval Base, U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Catholic Church, he was the son of the late John Andrew and Crescentia Elizabeth Hartung Liebl.  He was married to Judy Judd Liebl of Spencer, TN on November 8, 1974.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Liebl who was killed in Vietnam.  In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Joseph Charles Liebl of Warren Co., TN, Donald Eugene Liebl and Crescentia Sarah Ann Liebl both of Spencer, TN;  three grandchildren, Joseph Kyle, Jathyn Charles and Jana Nicole Liebl;  step-granddaughter, Anita Presley;  four brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Donna Liebl of Paynesville, MN, Francis Liebl of Wimmer, MN,  Jerome Liebl of Colorado, and Anthony and Karen Liebl of Nicolet, MN;  three sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Donald Forster of Minnesota, Monica Stephenson of New Ulm, MN, and Mary Ann and Cy Case of Minnesota and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.  Funeral service were held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2006 in High's Chapel with Father Jim Bretl officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the Warren County Honor Guard.
