Robert Oscar LINDSEY

McMinnville resident and Call, TX native Robert Oscar Lindsey, age 98, was born August 29, 1908 and died December 8, 2006 at Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.  A retired United States Army veteran and retired Wal-Mart employee, he was a member of the Baptist Church.  He was married December 20, 1971 to Christine George Lindsey of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Lindsey of LaFollette, TN and Bobby Lindsey of Houston, TX;  two step-sons, Tom Petit of Asheville, NC and Ronnie Hall of McMinnville;  four grandchildren and one brother.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 in High's Chapel.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
