Bessie MARTIN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Bessie Martin, age 78, was born May 22, 1928 and died June 8, 2006 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.  A retired employee of the Carrier Corporation and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late James and Berna Tipton Breedlove.  She was married to Jewel D. Martin who preceded her in death in 1992.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.  She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Doyle Ferrell of McMinnville;  grandson, Dwayne Ferrell of Nashville, TN;  brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Wanda Breedlove of Trenton, GA and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006 in High's Chapel with Earl Adamson officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in White County, TN.
