Drue Elizabeth MATHENY

Campaign, TN resident and Smithville, TN native Drue Elizabeth Matheny, age 86, was born December 30, 1919 and died August 20, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a short illness.  A retired employee of the Carrier Corporation and a member of the Fall City Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late John Douglas and Maudie Jane Warren Pinegar.  She was married to Luther J. Matheny of McMinnville.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and J.B. Brown of McMinnville;  son, Walter D. Byars of Hazel Green, AL;  two step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, Sidney and Joyce Matheny and Junior and Brenda Stembridge both of McMinnville;  four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;  brother, Charles Pinegar of Hillsboro, TN and sister, Ruth Hall of Smyrna, TN.  Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in High's Chapel with Joey Spicer officiating.  Burial followed in the Blues Hill Cemetery.
