McMinnville resident and Webb City, Missouri native Naoma Ruth McCarver, age 78, was born January 19, 1928 and died July 22, 2006 at River Park Hospital. She was the owner of a moving company and a member of the Short Mountain Church of God. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Alphonso and Lucy Cox Harvey. She was married June 10, 1944 to James Wayman McCarver who preceded her in death Novemeber 19, 1983. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel McCarver; sisters, Opal Kowalski, Ester Leslie, Vera Imel, and Rachael Lakkala and brothers, Al, Paul and Floyd Harvey. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Jim Nowlin and Barbara and Dwayne Morrison both of McMinnville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Lannis McCarver of Roseville, Michigan, Thomas Galen and Darala McCarver of Los Angeles, California, James Dale and Mary McCarver of Harrison, Michigan and George Reid and Liz McCarver of Warren, Michigan; thirty-six grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren and brother and sister-in-law, Dale R. and E.J. Harvey of Lansing, Michigan. There will be no services in McMinnville. Services and burial will take place in Michigan.
