Ethel T. McCOY

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Ethel T. McCoy, age 86, was born July 8, 1919 and died February 21, 2006 at NHC Healthcare following a brief illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Worldwide Church of God, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Bobbie Bailey Taylor.  She was married to Willie W. McCoy who preceded her in death in 1973.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Joel McCoy, three brothers, Sam, Melvin, and Jesse Taylor, and sister, Lillie Rogers.  She is survived by one son, Arlis McCoy of McMinnville;  one daughter, Helen Mathias of McMinnville;  four grandchildren;  sister, Ruth Hale of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Pastor Jonathan Stepp officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the .
