Lois Geneva McCREADY

McMinnville resident and South Pittsburgh, TN native Lois Geneva McCready, age 83, was born May 11, 1923 and died October 1, 2006 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.  A retired automotive factory worker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Nora Case Carter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Carter and sister Emogene Conatser.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Francine Cantrell of Joelton, TN;  two daughters and son-in-law, Glenda Phillips of Rock Island, TN and Paula and Richard Abadie of McMinnville;  six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two sisters, Carol Woodlee of Lenoir City, TN and Betty Sidener of Springfield, IL.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in High's Chapel with Nathan Jernigan officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
