James William McGREGOR

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James William McGregor, age 78, was born November 17, 1927 and died June 18, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired employee of Warren Farmers Co-Op and a member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late George W. and Ida Curtis McGregor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Larry McGregor and sister, Clara Collier.  He was married March 7, 1947 to Sara Kathryn Cope McGregor of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Pam McGregor of McMinnville;  two daughters and sons-in-law, Sara and Melvin Covington of Tullahoma, TN and Caroline and Jeff Noblin of Knoxville, TN;  daughter-in-law, Charlotte McGregor of McMinnville;  eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at the Central Church of Christ with Tim Parish officiating.  Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
