Russell Neal MEDLEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Russell Neal Medley, age 77, was born October 5, 1929 and died December 2, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.  A self-employed farmer, a United States Army veteran and a member of the Trousdale Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Oscar Brown and Elma Lorraine Sherell Medley.  He was married to Jeannie Gandy Medley of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ronnie Holmes of Manchester, TN, Marsha and Kevin Aberegg of Morrison, TN and Connie Medley of McMinnville;  five sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin Neal Medley of McMinnville, Jeffery and Marilyn Medley of McMinnville, Junior and Penny Medley of McMinnville, Billy and Laura Medley of Morrison, TN and Tim and Sherry Medley of McMinnville;  fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren;  former spouse, Christine Medley of McMinnville;  three step-daughters, Kimberly Ruth Jacobs of Virginia, Karen Margaret Hammed of High Point, North Carolina and Karol Louise Scott of White County, TN;  step-son, Kenneth Hieb of Woodbury, TN and seven step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.  Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 in High's Chapel with Charles Williams officiating.  Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
