Marcus MOFFITT

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Marcus Moffitt, age 91, was born March 23, 1915 and died August 6, 2006 at Generations Center of Spencer, TN following a lingering illness.  A retired parts manager of a Chevrolet dealership and a member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late H.B. "Fox" and Mary Elkins Moffitt.  He was married to Mildred Bain Moffitt who preceded him in death in 1981.  He is survived by one son, Mark Moffitt of McMinnville;  nieces, Marjorie Clark of Spencer, TN, Sara Grissom of Nashville, TN, Jimmie Grissom of Cookeville, TN and Martha McCormick of McMinnville;  nephew, Carl "Fox" Moffitt of McMinnville and granddaughter, Kayla Moffitt of McMinnville.  A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Mt. View Cemetery with Eben Gilbert officiating.
