Jean Elizabeth MORTON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jean Elizabeth Morton, age 81, was born March 29, 1924 and died February 2, 2006 at NHC Healthcare following a brief illness.  A food service worker with the Warren County School System for twenty-seven years and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Will and Hattie Bynum Newby.  She was married to Johnny Morton who preceded her in death in 1989.  She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail and Gary Hillis of Rock Island, TN and Brenda Hickey of McMinnville;  three grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Hillis of Rock Island, TN and Kayla Bree Hickey of McMinnville;  three great-grandchildren, Hunter Lawson Hillis and Dalton Blake Hillis both of Rock Island, TN and Emily Grace Hickey of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006 in High's Chapel.  Burial followed in the Blues Hill Cemetery.
