McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Emma Lee Hobbs Killian Neal, age 83, was born November 22, 1922 and died June 6, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A homemaker and a member of Philadelphia The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Octia Wanamaker Hobbs. She was first married to Willie Morris Killian who preceded her in death May 19, 1983. In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melba Jean Killian and brother, Harvie Varnell Hobbs. She was married second February 14, 1995 to Albert W. Neal of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Lois Killian of McMinnville, Ruth and James Jackson of Smithville, TN, Waynie and Elsie Killian of Beersheba Springs, TN, and Donna and Bobby Joe Thompson of Beersheba Springs, TN; step-daughter and spouse, Janie and Frankie Tanner of McMinnville; step-son and spouse Larry and Mickie Neal of McMinnville; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006 in High's Chapel with Jason Brown and Jim Phillips officiating. Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
