Lavonia May PARKER

Morrison resident and Warren County native Lavonia May Parker, age 88, was born May 4, 1917 and died February 25, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Knoll Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Alean Cantrell Walker.  She was married to Alvin C. Parker of Morrison on December 24, 1938.  In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon "Chigger" and Dianne Parker and Howard and Pat Parker both of Morrison, TN;  five granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren;  sister, Joyce Simmons of Morrison, TN and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2006 in High's Chapel with Jerry Finney officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
