McMinnville resident and Campaign, TN native Carl Clifton Patrick, Sr., age 73, was born February 3, 1933 and went to be with the Lord peacefully on September 20, 2006 at his residence, in the loving arms of his family after a valiant fight with cancer. A shipping agent in the textile industry, a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the North Hills Church of God of Prophecy, he was the son of the late George Isley and Reecie Belle Priest Patrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Lee and Maxine Melton. He was married December 21, 1955 to Elizabeth Louise White Patrick of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda R. Safick of Painesville, OH, Cathy C. and Jim Shahan of Geneva, OH and Cynthia L. and Sean Bledsoe of Ft. Myers, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Carl C. and Ronda Patrick, Jr. of Brunswick, OH; grandchildren, Troy and Travis Rains, Joseph Safick, Corri Peck, Nathan Shahan, Sarah Patrick, and Ian Bledsoe; three brothers, George L. Patrick of Spencer, TN, William T. Patrick of Fairport, OH and Gerald D. Patrick of Flatwoods, KY; two sisters, Diane Jackson of Chickamauga, GA and Patricia Darlene Miller of Cleveland, TN and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006 in High's Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Burial followed in the Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
