Donald Clayton PATTON

Coalmont, TN resident and Warren County native Donald Clayton Patton, age 77, was born December 4, 1928 and died July 28, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.  A service representative for Metro Mineral, a United States Marines veteran having served during the Korean War and a member of the Beersheba Springs Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Raliegh Miller and Dollie Mae Seamons Patton. He was married May 27, 1949 to Virginia Phifer Patton of Coalmont, TN.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Dollie and Jacky Ray Davis of Nashville, TN and Melissa Mitchell of Alpharetta, GA;  grandchildren, Lauren and Chris Dowdy, Courtney and Kyle Mayfield and Ben Mitchell all of Abilene, TX;  two sisters and brother-in-law, Jo Sarazen of Shelby, NC and Wanda and George Reese of Pensacola, FL and brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kay Patton of LaFayette, GA.  A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2006 in High's Chapel with John  Payne officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Highlands or Beersheba Springs Church of Christ Building Fund.
