Sammie Edward PHILLIPS

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Sammie Edward Phillips, age 55, was born February 19, 1951 and died December 26, 2006 at his residence following an extended illness.  An employee of the Oster Corporation, he was the son of the late Charles William and Mary Lou McGuire Phillips.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy O'Neal.  He was married to Audrey Kaye Hudson Phillips of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Cindy Willett, Charles Phillips, Jimmy Phillips and Melissa Phillips all of McMinnville;  step-son, Daniel Hudson of McMinnville;  eight grandchildren;  three brothers, Eugene Phillips, William Phillips and Amos Phillips all of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating.  Burial followed in the Cummingsville Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
