Jack Joe RAY

September 19, 1931 — June 7, 2006

McMinnville resident and Iowa Park, Texas native Jack Joe Ray, age 74, was born September 19, 1931 and died June 7, 2006 at his residence following a brief illness.  A self-employed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charles and Elva L. Todd Ray, Sr.  He was Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge 501, a 32nd degree Mason, Joplin, MO and a member of the McMinnville Loyal Order of the Moose.  He was married in 1950 to Mary Jane Wente Ray of McMinnville.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Joe and Tammy Ray of Jonesboro, AR, and Steven Wayne and Patti Sue Ray and Roger and Kimberly Ray all of McMinnville;  four grandchildren, Michelle Pusser, Jennifer Douglas, Meagan Ann Ray, and Stephanie Dawn Ray;  two great-grandchildren, Makala Hagelmeir and Hailey Douglas;  brother, Charles Ray, Jr. of Riverside, CA and sister, Polly Norman of Mexico.  Funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday June 10, 2006 in High's Chapel with Eddie Ware officiating.  Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
