Nell Frances REED

McMinnville resident and Arkansas native Nell Frances Reed, age 91, was born January 3, 1915 and died October 30, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a two-year illness.  She was a retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company, attended the Church of Christ, and was the daughter of the late George Thomas and Mary Ann Goodman.  She was married to Robie L. Reed who preceded her in death in 1950.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude Elizabeth Goodman and Dorothy McGregor;  two brothers, John Walker and Willie T. "Bud" Goodman and nephew, William Bruce Turner.  She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Derita Reed of Rock Island, TN;  two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Raymond Sliger and Charlene and Keith Hollingsworth both of McMinnville;  nephews and their spouses, Dwight Goodman of Nashville, TN, Larry and Elaine Goodman, Jerry and Martha McGregor, and Steve and Linda McGregor all of McMinnville, Phillips and Pam Hollingsworth of Kennasaw, GA and Chuck and Chandra Hollingsworth of McMinnville and sister-in-law, Rozelle Goodman of McMinnville.  A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Mt. View Cemetery with Raymond Curtis and Nestor Stewart officiating.
