Lector Ora REESE

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Lector Ora Reese, age 98, was born February 5, 1908 and died July 4, 2006 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.  A retired textile industry employee and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Titus and Mary Maude Dillon Barlow.  She was married to Melvin Reese who preceded her in death February 5, 1993.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecil Cummings and Lillian Massey;  half-sister, Mary Edna Rogers and half brothers, J.T. and Powell Barlow.  She is survived by one sister, Allene McCoy of Bone Cave, TN;  nieces and their spouses, Teresa and Forrest Martin of Rock Island, Gail and Frank Stewart of McMinnville and Nadene O'Neal of Bone Cave, TN;  great-nephews, Bill Martin of McMinnville and Larry and Darrell O'Neal both of Ohio and very special friend, Edna Ledbetter of McMinnville.  Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006 in High's Chapel with Jerry Womack officiating.  Burial followed in the McElroy Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
