Lawson Lee RHEA

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Lawson Lee Rhea, age 74, was born March 31, 1931 and died January 21, 2006 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN following a five week illness.  A self-employed logger and the son of the late Oscar and Ethel Scott Rhea he was married to Winona Faye Carter Rhea August 21, 1954.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sisters, Lillie Rhea, Vonda Lewis, Gladys Winton, and Elma Wooten, brother Houston Rhea, and special aunt, Lena Rhea.  In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter, Kimberly Rhea of McMinnville;  sons and their spouses, Garry and Debbie Rhea of Maryville, TN, Terry and Janet Rhea of McMinnville, Jeff A. and Tammy Rhea of Smithville, TN;  grandchildren, Rachel, Jana, Ashley, Cameron, Kaitlin, Rylan, and Kylan Rhea;  brothers and sisters and their spouses, Aud and Martha Rhea, Elijah and Sammie Rhea, Frances and Bill Baker, and Joyce and H.B. Scott all of McMinnville;  sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wilma and Reed Poss of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 in High's Chapel with Damon Woodlee officiating.  Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
